Sherwyn Sean Leo Samuel of New Milford was 50 years old at the moment of his untimely death. He passed away suddenly, Monday, October 19th, 2020.
Sherwyn was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, later moving to the United States and living in Brooklyn before settling in New Milford. Immigrating to the U.S., the possibilities were endless for him, as he made plans for a better life and a bright future. Coming from very humble beginnings, the road to success was nothing short of a challenge. His perseverance, determination, drive and the will to better his situation, were all motivating factors which not only catapulted him into a life of success, but helped mold him into the man we all knew and loved so dearly. Sherwyn was a noble and honest man who played by the rules at all times. He believed in doing right by those around him and treated every single person he encountered with respect. He was a man of integrity and high morals. Sherwyn was a doting father, a devoted husband, a loving son, an affectionate brother, a beloved cousin, and a loyal friend to many. His presence will be missed by all, but his everlasting impact will always remain.
Sherwyn is survived by his mothers Audrey McLean and Roseann Lewis. He is the devoted husband of Yvette (nee Guzman), the dedicated father of Nashaun Samuel, Seanee Samuel, Zoe Escalante and Sienna Samuel. Sherwyn is the cherished brother of Annie, Ricky, Peter, Derek, Philip, Natalie and Kerry. Cathy and Joel (deceased).
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford, NJ on Thursday, October 22nd, 2020 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated in his memory on Friday morning, October 23rd, 2020 at 11am in St. Mary's RC Church, Dumont, NJ. Burial will follow at Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. Due to the current pandemic the funeral home is limited to 50 visitors at a time, please plan your visit accordingly.
