Michael McCarten

Michael McCarten  was 58 years old when he passed away Wednesday, August 19th. Born in New York City, Michael lived most of his life in New Milford. He worked for many years at the Pathmark, and later Acme, in Bergenfield where he greeted shoppers and collected shopping carts. He was loved by so many who he would meet not only at work but throughout his community. 

Michael is predeceased by his late parents, Gerald and Catherine McCarten. He is survived by his brothers Gerald McCarten, Patrick McCarten and his wife Shari, Robert McCarten and his wife Christine, Richard McCarten and his wife Joanne and Stephen McCarten and his wife Susana. Michael was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Tuesday morning a funeral mass will be celebrated for Michael in Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Milford/Oradell at 10am. Burial to follow Mount Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly.
